Sun International’s flagship casino and resort, Sun City, has proven once more that it is leagues above its competition. The casino won two awards in the World Travel Awards – a prestigious annual ceremony.
Sun City was recognized as the best in two categories:
• Africa’s Leading Resort
• Africa’s Leading Casino Resort
Competition was fierce as Sun City contended against top destinations across the entire African continent in these categories.
The marketing manager of Sun City, Thapelo Madise said that the group was honored that Sun City had claimed awards in both categories in the Regional World Travel Awards program.
“To still be recognized as among the best on the continent after 40 years is a source of tremendous pride,” said Modise.
“These awards show that we are indeed succeeding in creating the types of experience that live long in the memories and hearts of our guests. It is, after all, the guest experience which is the key differentiator. We will continue to focus on ensuring that our guests’ experiences are always exceptional. ”
Established in 1993, the World Travel Awards celebrate excellence across all sectors of the travel, tourism and hospitality industry.
